Inaccurate and inconsistent piece of junk... This is he worst scale I have ever seen. It gives ten different results for ten different attempts, all in the same session, with a ten pound spread between the highest and lowest readings. Worse than useless, and flimsy feeling underfoot. I would return it if I could.

I ordered the Omron HR-100C ~07 21 2009. Online reviews by Consumer Reports/Research rated it best in basic models. It's worked well, not only with the accompanying wrist display, but also with my Nordic Track C-1500 treadmill.

The Omron wrist display changes faster than the treadmill display, but the two readings usually average within two or three beats per minute of each other.

With my rather old eyes, I cannot see the wrist display easily, when I wear it like a wrist watch, while running. I'll probably carry the wrist display in my hand when I run outside. When I run indoors on the treadmill, I tape the wrist display up on my treadmill monitor. The wrist display is fairly good sized, visually, but not so large as to be heavy or bulky.

One minor problem was when I put the wrist monitor up on the treadmill display on the right side, it sometimes dropped to 1/2 of the heart rate. Probably due to limited distance of wireless signal, supposedly 20 inches. When I moved the wrist monitor to the left side of my treadmill display, no problems. That was closer to the chest strap signal sender, slightly toward left side of my chest.

I have not had any problems with the treadmill receiver, picking up the heart rate monitor signal from the chest strap.

One unexpected and pleasant surprise, was that the Omron proved my treadmill had a built in receiver for heart rate wireless signal. Soon after I bought the treadmill a couple yrs ago, I also bought an AccuRate heart monitor for $100 from the same treadmill company. This monitor was described as the best match for this treadmill. But the monitor never worked with this treadmill. I even bought a 2nd new battery for the heart rate monitor. The treadmill and heart rate monitor company first tried to tell me to install a small receiver card, in a place on the treadmill, that had no such feasibility. Then they told me to rip out the main treadmill console, send it in, and they'd send a replacement I could install. Even though I'm capable with electronics and mechanics, I didn't have time or inclination to do that. The treadmill by itself, is excellent, and I didn't want to risk messing it up, following the guesswork of a bunch of sales kids, whose engineering/repair service training is probably not as well funded as the marketing for NordicTrack & UTS and their many treadmill models, which change often.

Anyway, the $39 Omron HR-100C, has now proven that the treadmill company (NordicTrack - UTS) had sent me a defective AccuRate heart rate monitor, but the treadmill itself, is fine.

I ordered the item and I got it broken. I returned it asking for a replacement but instead of that I got a refund without any explanation why.
