Do not set impossible goals like trying to get cut abs fast. Fast here would mean a month or less. The effort it entails will leave you wasted. The hazards of crash dieting and crash exercising have been well documented. Forming great-looking abs requires a demanding lifestyle consisting of tough exercise and a well-balanced diet. It cannot be rushed. One has to first tone and strengthen the abdominal muscles and then get rid of the excess fat around the area that covers the rips and lines.
Let us assume for simplicity’s sake that a person is physically fit and they have strong abs that can perform advanced exercises like pilates; however, their abs are not well-defined. Therefore, all they have to do is to get rid of the layers of fat. To expel a pound of stored fat requires burning 3,500 calories outside of what you ate. That means you have to exercise intensively while starving if you want to cut abs fast.
Besides, a body figure achieved by crash dieting cannot be maintained. Odds are, your body shape will seesaw from fit to fat by the time you stop crash dieting and return to a normal diet. This is because your body will adjust to the drastic change which is intense exercise and no food by slowing down metabolism. This means that the body will burn calories slower than normal so you gain back the weight fast. So if you want cut abs, you have to work for it long and hard or else it won’t last.
